QAD Welcome Night 2019

Students, faculty and staff from African diaspora and the Queen’s community in academic research and teaching pertaining to Africa and African Diasporic studies are invited to a Welcome Night that will take place on Wednesday October 24 from 5.00 to 7.30pm at the Grad Club. Agenda below will serve as a guide for our open conversation. Free snack will be made available.


1. Presentation of the participants/Ice breaker in a free style environment -Faculty -Staff -Students (Undergraduate/Graduate)
2. Presentation of QASN (Queen’s African Studies Network), QBAS (Queen’s Black Academic Society), ACSA (African Caribbean Students’ Association) and other students associations in the campus, QSAA (Queen’s Student Alumni Association) and AMS (Alma Mater Society)
3. Queen’s Africa Day (QAD) 2019
4. SNID and other seminar series in the campus
